Born in Lakewood, Tony graduated from Manchester High School in 2015 before earning several maintenance certificates from Ocean County Vocational Technical School, his obituary says.

He was known for his love of fishing and the outdoors, often spending his free time on the dock at Spinnakers Cove Marina or other popular boating areas.

Tony embraced his spur-of-the-moment nature and loved to take adventures, typically with his family. He was also a big fan of NASCAR, the Simpsons, the Buffalo Bills, and country music, his memorial says.

He had a soft spot for animals and above all, leaves a legacy of endless compassion and love that will be felt by all who knew him.

Tony is survived by his adoring father, John and his wife Phyllis; his loving mother, Anne Marie Joyce Delesandro; as well as several extended family members and close friends who will cherish his memory forever.

Tony’s memorial was scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 24 at the Ocean Beach Fire Company #3 Firehouse on Kittiwake Avenue in Lavallete.

Donations were being made in Tony’s loving memory to NAMI-NJ.

“Tony was a kind soul,” his obituary reads. “He was well-loved and will be sorely missed.”
